The Phi Class brings a welcome infusion of religious diversity and spirit. Several members of the class have already stepped up for significant leadership positions within the fraternity, occupying seats on AEPI's executive board as exchequer (treasurer), scribe (secretary), and brother at large (director of informal brotherhood events), and serving as committee heads for Sigma Tau's social and Judaism committees. On the whole, Phis have engaged with Stanford’s religious community more than any other class. For example, in the most recent elections for the Jewish Student Association (JSA), Joe Gettinger ’11 was elected President and David Sabeti ’11 was elected VP of Public Relations. In addition to AEPI, Phis hold a wide variety of academic and extracurricular interests, actively participating in Stanford's ski team and solar car project (to name just a couple), and with intents to major in everything from computer science to art history to human biology. Within the class itself, Phis have demonstrated an incredibly strong sense of community, bonding, and mutual helpfulness which bodes well for the future of the fraternity.
